Margaret was born to John and Maudie Kirk, there second daughter. They also had 2 other children May born in 1939 and Bill born in 1956. Margaret was born in Banbridge Co. Down due to her Mother being evacuated during WW2. Her formative years were spent growing up in Springfield Cresent, and she attended Springfield School. She married William McCartney on 11th January 1961 and had 1 daughter Alyzon born 7th December 1968. Margaret loved to party and any excuse was used to have a house party, which everyone loved. Her classic touch with L.P records was something to hear, many a good tune was scratched in the middle of a party. Margaret was diagonised with cervical cancer form which she made a full recovery, but unfortunatley the cancer returned and she died from Lung Cancer on 31st July 1994 in Beaconfield Marie Curie Center. I miss my Mummy so much that it hurts me everyday,but i,m reassured that we shall meet again and we,ll have another Party. Love you Mummy Alyzon xox
